It’s a while since I’ve posted anything car related. Eric Bana talks about his car, includes comments from people like Clarkson and Leno. Someone reckons Targa is the most dangerous form of motorsport, wish I’d heard that BEFORE we did three of them!
Looking for a way of delivering .mp4 video on a web site I went to one of the best resources for Flash video online and discovered that Flash 9 will handle MP4’s. This makes life very easy if you’re looking for a way to Podcast audio and video AND display the original content with web pages.
I just stumbled upon Phono Phunk whilst looking at Streamlined the Ruby on Rails ActiveRecord framework. Cool tunes and mixes that I hope to be able to use on some upcoming screen casts.
“Sometimes, a hug is all what we need. Free hugs is a real life controversial story of Juan Mann, A man whos sole mission was to reach out and hug a stranger to brighten up their lives. ”
A strange thing happened just now, I downloaded iTunes 7 and started browsing music. Within minutes I’d bought Sandi Thoms I Wish I Was a Punk Rocker. There appears to be a pattern here, download iTunes, buy something, I wonder if Apple see this correlation.
Well, thanks to Mark Sunner for prompting me to post Easter Aliens, only a year after it’s creation … This is my first (and probably my last) attempt at creating some ‘music’ with loops in Garage Band. It tells the story of aliens arriving at Easter, a short battle followed by their surrender and negotiations to retreat to the cosmos.
Well my music teacher once said “little ability, matches little effort” on a school report. That summed it up really, which was a shame because mum was great on the piano. Well I’ve just finished my first full length GarageBand production. It’s less than three minutes and I’ve called it ‘Easter Aliens’, if I can work out how to get an MP3 out of GarageBand or iTunes I’ll put a link to it here.
But I do listen to music quite often at home. I had a look on the net today to see what was going on in the online music scene. So far I’ve found GarageBand, these guys have been going since 1999 (and aren’t related to Apple) and purevolume, who have a very slick web site and have ‘listeners’ and ‘artists’ areas. The first track I came across was ‘Orphan’ from a lady called Loni Rose on GarageBands site.
I’ve had a busy week, lots of meetings with prospective clients at work. Looking forward to the weekend, I may get the camera out and make some more like these;
