Leopard still biting…

September 8th, 2008 David Banes No comments

Well I’ve come to the conclusion, after trying to upgrade four Mac’s, two Intel, two PowerPC (newish not old ones) that the upgrade to Leopard wasn’t worth the money, or time I’ve spent on it. For the following reasons;

1) The install DVD only works on 3/4

2) The GUI is messy and graphics/icons are over the top

3) The new calendar is aweful

4) I honestly can’t see the ‘hundreds of new features’, and the ones I’ve seen aren’t particularly useful

On the plus side, at least most of my apps are working and Time Machine is working, well it’s backing up, havn’t tried a restore yet. :)

Well upgrading to Leopard has been painfull, so far two of three upgrades have failed, requiring fresh installs. Not happy.
